About the artist

Painting what memory leaves behind.

Aakriti is a self-taught artist born and raised in India, now making her creative journey in California. Her work explores the memories that exist just beneath the surface of consciousness, what the mind holds onto, often without us realizing it.

By navigating the tension between light and shadow, delicacy and boldness, chaos and calm, she creates whimsical, emotionally charged forms that feel both instinctive and deeply human.
